To the editor:
The Board of Directors and staff of Monadnock Worksource would like to extend our enthusiastic thanks to the Peterborough Woman’s Club.
Each year for the past five years, the club hosts an event in the spring at Monadnock Country Club: Basket Bingo. Generous local businesses and individuals donate items to fill prize and raffle baskets to overflowing. The net proceeds are then donated by the club to a local charitable cause. Monadnock Worksource was fortunate to be chosen as the recipient for this year’s earnings.
This $4,000 donation, added to a substantial grant from the N.H. Charitable Foundation, will go a long way toward our purchase of a wheelchair-accessible van. Providing accessible transportation is one of the more pressing challenges we face in our work to provide support and training to local citizens with developmental disabilities.
Thanks to Susan Davis, Linda Caracappa, Janet Reilly and all of the club members who made this event possible. Club members were so impressive in their commitment and energy while pulling this together. An added benefit: It was great fun to work with them!

Dear Ladies of the Peterborough Woman's Club,
Thank you so much for your generous donation to MATS. We wish you all could have been there, at our meeting, when your check was presented. You would have heard a collective gasp - we were all so surprised. No one was expecting such a gift.
We plan to use the funds to build a fence in the yard at the house, so our families have a safe and secure area to spend time outdoors with their children.
It was a privilege to work along side of you at this years Basket Bingo event. Those from MATS that were able to help out that day could not say enough wonderful things when relaying our experiences to those Board members that could not attend. You were gracious and welcoming - it couldn't have been a more enjoyable experience.
You have a home run with this event. Here's wishing you many, many more successful years. We look forward to participating in next years event - from the other side of the table!
With kindest regards & much appreciation,
Helen Limina on behalf of all the Board of Directors at MATS
